Adult Coed Kickball (Fayetteville Adult Kickball Association)
League | Registration | Season/Date |
---|---|---|
Summer (2018) | April 9 - June 10 |
Week of June 18-Week of August 6 |
Fall (2018) | July 2 - September 2 |
Week of September 10-Week of October 29 |
Fayetteville Parks and Recreation offers spring, summer, and fall adult kickball through the illustrious Fayetteville Adult Kickball Association. Organize and sign up a team for the fun and games this year! Each season is eight weeks. Teams play a seven-week regular season and then participate in a post-season tournament in the eighth week. Players must be at least 16 to be eligible to play, and there are no residency requirements to play.
Teams register to play in one of three leagues, the: Game On League (most competitive), Chill Out League (mixed competition), and Just for Kicks League (lowest level of competition). Each team plays two games per week, and teams pick the night and time they play during registration.
For instance, a team could pick to play in the Chill Out League - 6:15/7 p.m. Mondays. In this case, the team would play two games (6:15 and 7 p.m. Mondays) against other Chill Out League teams each week for eight weeks. At the end of the regular season, the team would play in a post-season tournament against other Chill Out League teams that also play 6:15/7 p.m. Mondays.

Competition Levels in Adult Co-Ed Kickball
There are three levels of adult co-ed kickball offered by Fayetteville Parks and Recreation. The rules are the same for each league, but the playing experience differs between leagues.
Game On League (For Players Seeking Fun Through Strong Competition; No Pain, No Game)
The Game On League is for teams seeking a competitive, athletic challenge while playing against other teams whom are aiming to win, but also are looking to have a little fun while playing. Kickball 'purists,' former club and college athletes, or those serious ballers whom still have their highlight reels will most enjoy this league.
Chill Out League (For Players Seeking a Moderately Competitive and Mostly Fun Experience)
The Chill Out League is for teams seeking a wholesome program: even competition and lots of fun, though the win comes first. The level of competition in this league will remind players of other recreation and college intramural sports leagues. Will you enjoy this league as a serious kickballer? Yes, but not as much as the Game On League. Will you enjoy this league as a fun-first player? Yes, but not as much as the Just For Kicks League.
Just for Kicks League (For Players Seeking A Non-Competitive, Purely Fun Experience)
The Just for Kicks League is for teams seeking a fun-first, organized coed adult kickball program. The level of competition is playful and relaxed. This is not to say that games are less organized than the other leagues or that teams "don't care," but the general spirit of teams in this league is to put fun above all else, including "the win." Yet, all eyes are on the trophy at tournament time.
